About Me

I am an actor & translator, I perform a humorous street act called The Yellow Man and I am now trying out as a stand-up. I hang out with performing poets, singer-songwriters, sound artists and cleaners. I run the Yahoo Group weirdandwonderfullondon. Visual art: eg Odilon Redon, Vuillard, Chagall, expressionism, conceptual & performance art. My father was a maths teacher. My parents were in a top amateur opera group. I have 2 brothers & 3 sisters. My sisters were in a top amateur choir and now all run their own businesses. Catherine is an artist and her business, Two Moons, offers primal painting lessons and astrology consultations http://freespace.virgin.net/cath.allwood/ Another sister practices reflexology and aqua detox. The 3rd married a software innovator and her company, Blah Blah Blah, sells groovy contemporary objets: www.notonthehighstreet.com/partners/view/id/140.html. One brother has a 12th century tower in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. One niece has been to NASA and is learning Japanese, another can do triple back flips, a 3rd does poi and Bollywood dance. One nephew, Gregory James Allwood, is an aspiring actor and screenwriter, another, Mark, works for Forces Broadcasting and occasionally DJs on local radio. My grandfather was on the front page of the Daily Mirror in 1926, twirling his baton: he was a drum major in the Grenadier Guards. My grandmother sang in the original Crystal Palace. I hate 24-hour rolling news.
