Bethany is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and music flows from her soul. Her debut album Fruit of the Spirit is getting major attention for its transcending appeal. Her music is described as classic, creative, and definitely unique in flavor. Her recipe: A soulful tone, soothing melodies and smooth harmonies simmered in the anointing. Last but not least, a dash of desire to remind the world of God's love.Bethany Devine was born the 10th child of a gifted and talented family. Music was a part of almost every aspect of our lives and we appreciated a wide range of musical genres. Some of Bethany's music influences include: Ercille Devine (her mom), The Clark Sisters, Lauryn Hill, Anita Baker, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Kim Burrell.Bethany began singing in the children's choir at her Dad's church at the tender age of 5. At age 12 Bethany teamed up with family and close friends and began a successful gospel music group called Divine. It was during her tenure with this group that she explored creativity in song arrangements and the fundamentals of song development. Divine's electrifying performances opened doors for them to travel the country and eventually garnered them an appearance on the prestigious Stellar Awards in the late 1990's. Throughout her musical career, Bethany was blessed to share the stage with several gospel music greats: Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrell, Ted & Sherri, John P. Key, Vicki Winans, Smokie Norful, and several others.Bethany took a hiatus from the now defunct Divine, and earned a college degree in Finance. While seeking God for her next move, Bethany was reminded of what she was born to do. I felt like God was pulling me back to my first love. The more I prayed, the more I found myself consumed in music. After a month, I had several songs and felt ready so.we went into the studio and everything just flowed. Now on track and focused, Bethany admits most of her life was spent afraid to follow her dreams. I remember a time when I couldn't say out loud I WANT TO BE A SINGER that may sound silly, but sometimes things you really want can seem so far out of reach. Finally, I'm walking in confidence and power. I've accepted God's purpose for my life and it-FEELS GREAT! On Fruit of the Spirit , Bethany bears her soul with her listeners, leaving them encouraged, inspired, and hungry for more.
