Music has the ability to move deep within me and take me to a totally different plane. I don't mean in some transcendental way. Mostly through Praise and Worship music I experience this. I think I truly connect with God through music. I listen to many genres, but when I need some "me" time, I grab my guitar and start singing praise.
I'll admit it, I'm a Survivor junkie. I've never missed an episode the last four seasons. Wednesday and Thursday night are the best TV nights of the week.
Just about any book interests me, except for trashy novels and maybe books about law. When I'm not in school, I'm an avid reader.
Okay, it may sound cliche and cute, but my mother is truly one of my heroes. She moved halfway across the world, by herself, middle-aged, just to help people she doesn't know, in a country she was unfamiliar with. She is a missionary in Africa, helping one of the tribes with simple life tasks we take for granted, such as get clean water to drink instead of muddy water from a hole in the ground. She exhibits strength of character, godliness, gentleness, and kindness. If I become half the woman she is now, I will consider myself successful.
