This site was designed to represent WiseAss Records as a credible label and brand on the internet and will showcase the fine quality/calibre of acts the label has to offer, and a place of contact for any new potentials who also have that distinctive urban flavour they feel will appeal to the target audience.Having played a key role in the rise to fame of a number of UK artists, most recently Aaron James Cashell, amongst others, I know how to deliver dreams - not make empty promises.My premise is Plain and Simple.....I like hunger... I feed the hungry - those who really want it and have the talent to get it. If you are not prepared to put in the necessary hard work to succeed in what is arguably the most competetive industry, and just sit around waiting for things to happen, then it never ever will. I've seen this same thing happen many many times....You've played a couple of shows and get some local respect., so you think you're now a national hero...!You think you can turn up to the studio to record as and when you see fit cos its no big deal that you're running late. Nor should you listen to the talented producers around you - it's YOUR song,what do they know...!??!You can't be bothered to keep training your voice - cos you're good enough. EVERYBODY says so...!You're so much better than the next man so how come that person seems to have it all and you have nothing.....?Your friends tell you that they know someone who can 'really' help you... then you wonder why the music you make isn't where it needs to be or good enough to even get airplay....?Then, when things go wrong or slow down - who's the first one to get the blame....???For me, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Good things can only come to those who wait. If the voice and/or material isn't progressing you got to learn to be self-critical. Don't lap up the lapdogs....!This is a business and I am a businessman looking to get myelf and my artists ahead of the game so that all the right people get a piece of the pie. Plain and Simple.I give as good as I get, so when i don't get, I don't give.If you aren't prepared to put in all the hard work to make a credible successful album that can be pushed, sold and promoted across the UK, USA and Europe, then who else can you blame but yourself...Its not just about live performances all over the place - Anyone can do that... Its about having the music to back up how good you claim to be - to make sure that the next time you perform for your true loyal fanbase, they aren't just hearing the same lame limited set....!That's just the way it goes................THE ONE COMPTON.........Already an established artist and DJ in his own right and hailing from the City of Preston, hes now getting his feet firmly sprung in the shores of the NorthEast.
