About Me

Started Drumming By the age of 4. It has always and will forever be my first love. But that's just a piece of the puzzle! As I look back there is a lot of things I wish where different, but life is a combination of constant gaining knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to get to your next. I have been involved in this musical pursuit of happiness for over 15 years. learning the industry from many different aspects. As a drummer it all started for me with some pots and pan in my mothers kitchen. By the age of 7 I was the premier drummer for my home church in Newburgh, NY. Being a preacher's kid it was hard to lay low and focus on Just being the best drummer I could be. The word got out that I could sing. Now in my eye's this was the start of a conflict for me. Indeed it was a conflict for years to come. For years my family pushed me to sing, sing ,sing oh we need you to sing! So now friends of the family took on the same mindset and so on and so on. This went on for years even to the point where family and other people to this day look over my skills as a drummer. From the begining of the conflict I continued to practice my drum skills.I even remember sleeping at my home church overnite just to be next to a drum set and practice all I can. At first I thought it was because of my skill level, that's until I was asked to sing while another drummer with less experience or skill play for this particular gig. Then it kept happening over and over again. This made me practice like I never practice before. No matter what their is no practice like concert, touring, show time atmosphere playing. You get better and better each time around. Now as a singer I got that exposure. The big time shows, lights, camera and the action. Whether in the studio or on a mini tour national or international big stage, small stage, Austrailia, Japan, Korea,Philippines or Guam I've had a taste of what I love through these experiences. I've even got a chance to finally do my drumming thing playing for different Jazz Artist, groups and choirs in the Gospel genre from Miami to California back to NewYork. Now as a producer, songwriter, and artist I'm taking my knowledge just to pursue more happiness; The Music Industry! Even though I look back on missed opportunities as a drummer do to being in the military, and now that I'm married which is my first priority. I'm doing my pursuit like never before. I've moved to the NYC so you know what it is! Coming soon to a Radio Station, CD shelf in your Stores Music Section near you. FREDDIE RAY! I bet you can't guess how i'm gonna come at you. A drummer or a producer; I might even sing HA HA AH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! ! ! !Freddie Ray2 words!
