Amy~Won

My name is Amy and I’m 26. I have two knick names, Amy~Won and Candy Coated Evil. I’m known as the “Won” because there are just certain things I do and say that will make you say, ‘AND THAT! Is why we call you the “Won.”’ Candy Coated Evil runs much along the same lines, I’m evil, yet candy coated to make it more tolerable, truly the best tasting evil on the market.I’m supposed to list my talents and abilities in this section. I’m an archery instructor and demonstrator. I play a guitar on occasion. I used to be a better keeper of my small animals and souls, but I am neglectful of my duties. I raise funds for Animal Rescue, specifically Small Angels Animal Rescue in Maryland, Guinea Pigs are my small furry friend of choice at the moment. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and am always good in an emergency. I’m an Otaku and have attended Otakon faithfully for years. I’m a card carrying member of the SCA. Rennie, Sci Fi Geek, Convention go-er, Hiker, Camper, Gamer, Festival Go-er all those things that make you think of unwashed bodies. This has devolved into interests I’ll move on.I grew up in the city, in Highlandtown, less than a block from Patterson Park. I was raised Catholic but open to the more secular things in life. I helped my mother at the United Way of Central Maryland and also my Aunt at the Johns Hopkins Children Center. I was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol for more than 4 years and almost made my Mitchell before I left CAP. I assisted with the paperwork at the Group and Wing level. Because of this had much more experience and people skills than most of my classmates throughout high school. I also have many more contacts and allies on my character sheet than most. :)I’ve had quite a few jobs since graduating from High School and none of them really fit. After a particularly grueling stint at a law firm, I had to face the facts, this just wasn’t working. I took stock, there wasn’t much, so it didn’t take me long to decide to move on to that thing that I should have done all along, Massage Therapy.Massage Therapy has allowed me to ease my Grandmother’s arthritic hands and my Sister’s shoulders. I plan on going back to school to get educated in a field that I intuitively understand and enjoy. I am currently enrolled at the Baltimore School of Massage and will graduate in January 2009.I have accomplished my goal of seeking employment in the medical field. While not in billing or records, I have become immersed in the industry and have learned many more skills that will increase my value as an asset to an employer or even me. [Being self employed] After having many different jobs over the years I have realized that office life is not for me, I am much more of a hands on and people person.I planing small with Massage Therapy and working at a chiropractor or occupational or physical therapy office. As I gain more experience in the field I would like to continue my education and gain an Occupational Therapy Certification. Ultimately I want to be involved with rehabilitation for the elderly.
