I am here for Friends

About Me

Yes! it's winter in finland and there's no snow. how north do you have to go to see snow?? the day lasts from like 10am till 2pm and even then you can hardly see the sun. exotic? YES you got it right, I live in Finland - the land of thousands of lakes, trees and the home of nordic walking and sauna. And Nokia. And Lordi (it's a band). I am sort of a typical Finn: blond(ish) hair and blue(ish) eyes and I am a nature freak and a little shy and I sure know how to be antisocial if I feel like it. But i dont feel like it so yay. :) I'm not all Finn in a sense, though, since i have lived in California for a couple of years so i guess there's some fat American in me too. I think there's more to people than what you see and I try not to judge by appearances. i look like im 12 even though im 18. (im a baby face) my boy friend calls me a princess and thats not far from the truth - i get blisters sweeping the porch but never wearing high heels. well i do but its a metaphor anyway.

My Interests

Singing, dancing, music, shopping, winter sports, summer sports, beaches, snowballs, snow wars, partying, cooking, eating, sleeping. Weird things.

I'd like to meet:

Different kinds of people.

Music:

Funk, R&B, jazz, rock, oldies. I love the Crash, Zen Cafe, the Beach Boys, Egotrippi, Ultra Bra, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, um.......

Movies:

Movies that aren't too scary and where nothing too exciting happens. I know that most romantic comedies suck but im just a big chicken. i hate it when i know that someone is gonna jump up behind you and say boo. But its okay if there's someone squeezing me tight when im afraid. That's why i like oldies since nothing ever happens. I love The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding Nemo, Breakfast at Tiffany's, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Bruce Almighty, Amélie, Grease, Saturday Night Fever and all Disney classics. It doesn't really matter what move it is if there's a bowl of popcorn or ice cream and a bunch of good friends.

Television:

Lost, Everwood, Spongebob Squarepants, Gilmore Girls, Friends, The Simpsons, America's Next Top Model (yes, they show it in Finland) Everything that looks like its old, like from the 1800s.

Books:

Pride and Prejudice, Gone with the Wind, Anne of Green Gables and all the romantic classics (I'm an 18th and 19th century freak)Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Swedish, Math...... that's all i have time for right now. Quelle dommage, n'est-ce pas?

Heroes:

Jane Austen, Audrey Hepburn, my grandparents
