About Me

Clinton was born in Philadelphia, Pa on July 14, 1972. He began his musicianship as a naturally talented drummer at the early age of ten. Throughout his career, Clinton has increased musical knowledge and enhanced his skill level through lessons and study of all music genres. People have often described Clinton as being a very versatile musician. During the early years of drumming, his main focus was on gospel music. He began playing in church and is currently the Lead drummer of The Baptist Worship Center in Philadelphia, where Bishop Millicent Hunter is the Pastor. Over the years he has made his presence known by playing for Joy Unlimited Youth Massed Choir, Expressions of Joy Ensemble, Philadelphia mass Choir, Tony Fields and New Testament, Philadelphia Praise, Tony Moore and Jehovah’s Chosen and Anthony Forrest and True Vision just to name a few. He has also had the opportunity to play for several popular gospel artists such as Beverly Crawford of Bobby Jones Gospel, Edwin Hawkins, Marvin Sapp from Commission, Vicky Winans, Kim Burrell, Traci Shy Ellis, Karen Clark Sheard and Derrick Starks and the list goes on! In addition, for three years Clinton played for Bilal Oliver who was a member of his church before leaving to start his R&B career. Clinton has seven live recordings and many studio sessions under his belt. He has also appeared on television and played in many cities across the United States. January 2000 was the beginning of a new challenge for Clinton to enter the worlds of R&B, jazz, rock, hip-hop, etc. Establishing quality musicianship and professionalism, many more doors began to open. Starting out in January 2000 as the drummer for a cable talk show Mixdown hosted by Tiffany Bacon of Power 99fm gave him a lot of exposure. During that time he began to get calls to play in many area clubs just vibing or playing with different bands and artists. Later that year he met up with Subtle Ground, a Hip-hop/rock group. Subtle Ground has shared the stage with Bilal, Philly’s Most Wanted, Jill Scott, Jaguar, the Jazzy Fat Nasties, The Roots, 3LW and many more. He’s had the opportunity to play for Columbia Records Artist Jade Anderson, a pop singer from London. The tour took him from New York to Japan! In addition Clinton was the studio drummer for Direct Hit Studio owned by Rasheed Wallace of the Detroit Pistons. While there, Clinton has recorded with Def Jam artist Black Ice and many other up and coming artists. This young man is a pleasure to watch whether in church or on the big stage, his skillful drumming is sure to electrify any crowd!Endorsements: Vic Firth Inc.
