Lets just say we get a lot out of our Netflix account! I'm a HUGE movie junkie! Hubby and I have been known to go to the movies and watch 2+ movies back to back-fun and awesome until your ass goes numb lol (the movies out here are nothing like the ones we used to go to back at home!). And of course I love a good excuse to have twizzlers and popcorn and swedish fish and sour patch kids and peanut butter cups and can we say I have a sweet tooth lol. Some favorite movies are....Boondock Saints, Polar Express, March of the Penguins, Running Scared, Jackass (the second had my sides hurting!), Schindler's List, Citizen Kane, Tristan & Isolde, GI Jane, The Convenant ....
Not much of a TV junkie, I go for the movies more than anything. But if there is anything I am hooked on, it's "The Unit" and "Smallville". The Playmakers was a good TV series too but was cancelled...blah. Once in a while I like my Jeopardy fix-hubby keeps hounding me to apply to go on the show.
I'm actually quite the bookworm, yea! who would've thought? Me? a nerd? lol....sad but true. I'm quite the brain according to a few. But anyhoo...books....so many favorites....I love to read pretty much anything, I'll give any book a chance. I tend to gravitate towards history, books on the CDC (Level 4 Virus Hunters of the CDC ROCKED!!! -my dream job would be working for them!), military (Masters of Chaos; In the Company of Hereos were good books), classics (Metamorphoses by Ovid; Gone with Wind (which I read in 5th grade-I started reading young lol); Pride and Prejudice; Sense and Sensibility; 1984; anthing by Tolstoy), and the occasional novel thats out there (almost anything by Dan Brown is pretty good-Da Vinci Code remains my fave by far even though the movie left a lot to be desired; Caleb Carr -The Alienist; Nicholas Sparks always makes me cry...damn him lol; Devil Wears Prada was a GREAT book-movie sucked in comparision though-as usually is the case). Plus I love my mags, both fashion and InTouch...gotta have my gossip fix!LAST READ.....Dear John by NIcholas Sparks.....good book and loved the ending, but not as good as his other books; was a good way to show the meaning of true love though; The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards....okay, not something Id read againREADING NOW....The Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield
There aren't too many people that I'd qualify as heroes...it seems the term is given too loosely these days. But for sure I'd say that my husband and any other soldier that I know that freely gives up their life and family life to defend our country and actually take pride in that and enjoy what they do....thats a hero to me.Army Strong
