About Me

INTERVIEWER: Have your feelings about Hollywood changed as you've gotten older?
sarah polley: Well, I used to think it was a very organized place run by very evil people. And now I think it's a really disorganized place run by a lot of evil people and a few really great ones...

NOTE: THIS IS A FAN APPRECIATION SITE, WITH NO CONNECTION TO SARAH POLLEY. alot of fans are interested in her work as a actress and political activist (she actually had several teeth knocked by police at a demonstration in canada), but outside of a few published interviews, there's not much detail on her.
perhaps this is why: sarah polley: "there's something so creepy and intimidating about somebody knowing your name and things about you, and you knowing nothing about them. I have no idea why people want to be famous. All I can see is that it brings a kind of captivity."
in an interview about her film My Life Without Me: the thing I love most (about My Life Without Me), is it goes against this trend in American films of making fun of people who are seen as "trailer trash." I find that really offensive. It's the last taboo. We can't laugh at people because of their race--that's outrageous--but we can still laugh at them because of their class? My character lives in a trailer and has two kids and is a completely normal, unpathetic person."
