Remember the days of Miles, Coltrane, and Bird?The Stones, Otis Redding, and Sly? John Lennon, Brian Wilson, and Frank Zappa? Remember when music meant something? I don't either... I've forgotten when music spoke for generations, meant something beyond sales, and was the voice for the voiceless. I've waded through endless pre-packaged, reality show, worthless, meaningless, talentless msuic for so long that I've lost the way home. Soon the idea of art, meaning, and beauty in music will be a story we tell our children. Soon we will be handed the music we will listen to, and smile as we lap up the shit they throw at us... Somebody has to do something. Somebody has move against the grain. Bring down the evil juggernaut that has become the music industry. Underground Jazz labels, independent label rock, and throwback blues are out there. What would happen if we injected it into the masses? The only way to find the way forward is to look back, not in longing, but as a roadmap to the future. We are here with the most powerful and important weapon in the fight against the death of music....Information. We are here to share and enjoy music, remember the great ones, and nourish the future great ones. We will mention our favorite groups/artists, put up links, and share other tidbits of info about our past and, hopefully our future.
