Series A: Lindy + Footwork
Series A will give you plenty of practice learning Swingouts, the real basic in Lindy Hop, with lots of attention to how it works and how to make it really swing. What's Lindy without some flashy footwork? Learn a few simple variations to the rock-step and triple-step to keep the dance exciting
Back2Basics will teach you 6 & 8 count swing patterns to get you out there dancing! This series of classes is for the beginner dancer and focuses on lots of dancing during class so you can get it out of your head and into your body.
There are no pre-requisites for Back2Basics classes. Beginners are welcome. This series is progressive, every week we build upon the moves taught in the first week. Drop-ins are allowed the first two weeks only.
JumpSession:

Prerequisites for Jump Session are taking at least two of the Back2Basics classes, although we really recommend students take all three. Speak to one of the instructors if you have taken Lindy Hop classes elsewhere. This series is progressive, every week we build upon the moves taught in the first week. Drop-ins are allowed the first two weeks only.

Swing Rueda is back! Manu Smith, founder of the New York Swing Rueda Team "The Fare Jumpers", will be teaching Swing Rueda in October and November. This is a perfect opportunity for Lindy Hoppers to learn Swing Rueda and for Rueda dancers to practice, polish and learn new moves, with the option of performing the fun routine. Join us for the 7-week Swing Rueda Performance Series from 8:20pm - 9:20pm.
Based on Salsa Rueda, Swing Rueda is danced in a circle with two or more couples. There is a dancer who calls the moves which the entire circle executes in unison. Some moves require partner changes and that's when the fun begins. Using the Cuban Salsa Rueda as a template, Jeff Miller and Elaine Hewlett of Dallas, Texas created Swing Rueda. Manu and a few lucky others got to learn it first hand from Jeff and Elaine back when it was created in 2000. Since its creation it has been spread around the country, and traveled as far as Sweden and Singapore.
Some of the moves' names are the same in both Swing and Salsa versions of the dance. For example, Dame (which translates as give me) is used to get a new partner. Other names have changed slightly due to the largely non-Spanish speaking dancers in Swing. No partner necessary. For more information visit www.920special.com
