About Me

I am a freelance metal artist. I build and design everything from furniture to architectural projects. I do very little painting, but some. I also do a little photography, and a little doodleing, thats what I call my freehand drawing. I work generally with Architects, but also private clients, and Interior Designers. I have been working with steel for about 20 years. I started as an apprentice for an Indy car machine shop in Indianapolis Indiana when I was 15. I have worked with various metals ranging from, mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper and bronze. I ran a custom metal art studio out of the historic Stutz business center in Indianapolis for 4 years, called, Essentials in Steel. I also worked in some of the up scale suburbs of Chicago during that time, doing custom architectural work such as handrailings, chandeliers, sconces, ect. I have a chandelier, the big round Gothic looking one, hanging in one of the houses Francis Ford Copola's grandfather build in Lake Forest Ill. In Feb. of 2004 I left Indianapolis to move out to the west coast. My first job here was, metal fabricator for a Discovery Channel original TV series called, "Wingnuts". I was part of the supporting cast. The series ran for the Fall season of 2004 with 9 episodes. In Jan. of 2005 I did an episode of Discovery Channels, "Monster House", titled, "The Monster Club" which aired in April of 05'. We remodeled the famed "Cat Club" on L.A.'s Sunset Strip. If you go there, I built all the steel tubing cage thats under the face of the stage and I built the three stripper poles, and hung the trusses that cross the ceiling and walls. I how have a studio in Inglewood Ca., Yes thats the Northern Tip of South Central LA for all you wannabe gangsters. I've shown and sold work in Indianapolis,Chicago,Cleveland, L.A., blah blah blah and some other artist nonsence! lol Basically I played with a lot of LEGO'S. Enjoy the page, its a lifetime of sweat and blood, hope you like it half as much as I did making it.Layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds
