About Me

James Roberts has been writing "downright beautiful ballads" (MOJO) for a long while now, but this is undoubtedly his most intimate and personal record, particularly as it is the first time he has recorded without his brother. Having spent his teenage years in the Sea Urchins, and the nineties in the greatest lost band of the decade, Delta, he returns with his debut solo album. The LP was originally tracked in three days at Birminghams Dep studios, James just accompanied by fellow ex-Delta member Louis J Clark - other guests on this album were Alex Lee (Suede) and Allison Brice (Eighteenth Day Of May), the latter singing on Its All Made Light. Roberts proves himself more than the match of all the acclaim heaped on Delta. This album nods to the late-60s school of Love/Byrds pastoral psychedelic pop, with some discreet electronic burbling and lush string arrangements putting it into the category marked timeless rather than retro.Immediately, breathtakingly wonderful... we dont actually care where hes been all our lives, were just glad hes here now.for more information and music look here.www.alphaheaven.com and http://www.myspace.com/donttouchrecordings
