Sparky Music Labs

About Me

Sparky Labs is essentially a recording studio/production company/creative outlet for Pat Lavery. Pat's been around for a while, most visibly playing bass and singing for Spontaneous Combustion and The Drivers, and Spam Brando(whenever it chooses to rear it's ugly head...). Pat was a longtime member of Renard Boissiere's Freelance Pallbearers, was also the bassist in Mystic Bowie's band for a number of years, and worked with guitarist Brian Tarquin on a number of CD and television projects. Lately he's also been doing a fair amount of freelance work, notably with the Christopher Robin Band, singer Vesta Williams, and the Sonny Carroll Orchestra in addition to some solo guitar work, and Jazz trio gigs as well. Pat studied jazz in college, but has been drawn to various kinds of roots music, particularly New Orleans funk and blues since he was a wee nipper. Recent production projects include CDs from jazz pianist Will Fownes, the christian rock band Chenaniah(check out their myspace profile for more info), a singing rabbi, the classic rock band Tale Spin, and a web-only release from Christopher Robin. Recent mastering projects include "I Don't Think U See" by R&B singer Gianna Knight. Pat plays a variety of instruments, but his axes of choice are electric and upright bass, slide guitar, and vocals.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
