I don't know how to make this interesting but I'll just start talking. Actually, I'm pretty good at that.I am a well grounded woman who loves family. I am recently widowed after 41 years. I have 2 grown daughters and 4 wonderful grandkids who are the light of my life. I love to play with them and chat with them. The youngest generation is so interesting and informed!
I was born in AL to down home southern parents who were married for 61 years.
My dad still lives in AL but I was raised in South FL starting at Lake Okeechobee and Ft. Lauderdale and then in Miami after I married. I'm still in Miami. It may be in a big crazy city but I am a country girl at heart. I do like the sound of the ocean and walks on the beach with the wind in my face and the water breaking on my ankles. A nice Pina Colada by the pool isn't too bad either.
I also think one of the great pleasures in life is hanging out at the spa and getting a really good massage.
I am a very sentimental person but also I really love to joke around. A sense of humor is a requirement in a relationship. Gee, I don't like starting all sentences with the word "I" but guess that's how it works here.
I am looking for someone who has similar interests but am open to other interests too. I do miss the stable home lifestyle. Decorating my home and making it a real home is a big part of who I am. The homemaking and the giving and receiving love are what make me a woman. I am pretty much a passionate lady but make the point that I consider myself a lady.
Maybe I haven't turned all of you guys off LOL Please contact me even if it's just to chat.

My Interests

My interests are my friends here in Miami, being with my adult daughters and playing with my 4 grandkids who are 11 and 12(2 boys) and 8 and 9(2 girls). I'm also ready for some romance in my life. After being widowed over 2 years now, I miss the gentle touch of a man and the way he would look in my eyes that says I love you. I miss being in love.

I would love to meet someone close to my age with no serious baggage and a good sense of humor. Someone who is passionate and likes to cuddle and watch tv after a good home cooked meal.



Music:

My music love is mostly country and Southern Gospel.

Gentle pop music too. Of course I can't deny my teenage years with the good old rock and roll from the 50's and 60's.

Mystery, comedy and romantic. Not into the sci-fi thing at all.Also like movies based on true stories.

Television:

Daytime talk, but not the stupid Jerry Springer stuff YUCKThe news shows and magazine shows. Sports, Food Network and Health network. Not much into sitcoms.

Books:

I like to read romantic mysteries. Also books about real people, like Tom Brokaw's The Greatest Generation. I also loved the book by Paula Deen titled "It Ain't All About the Cooking". It is such a great story of overcoming obstacles in life.
One of my favorite writers is Nicholas Sparks.
