La Gente De Goma

About Me

LA GENTE DE GOMA is a cutting edge rock en español band hailing from San Diego California. GDG is comprised of Gabriel (guitar, vocals), Chuy (guitar), Don Carlo (drums), and Puffy (bass). Their sound is powerfully forceful but at the same time melodic and tender. Their lyrics cover a vast spectrum of social commentary and heartbreak through unusually twisted prose. Gabriel’s writing style is heavily influenced by Latin American existential poetry, which by nature is cryptic and creates an interactive atmosphere for the listener. “ I want them to make up their own mind, it helps make the song a part of them ”, Gabriel explains. Their debut album Rock Imigrante was released in 2005.

MEZMERIZE SOAD

Best album this year so far. Completely blown away by the progress these Armenian boys make with each album, it makes me proud of being a musician in an industry full of garbage. Anywho, whose got it?...
