I am a mom to a beautiful little girl, my most important job ever. Since Lauren has come along life has mellowed quite a bit. Before her I used to party hard and frequently. Now life is so different. The people I thought were my friends now treat me like I have a disease, it's called a child. Which I find strange because if we hung out it's not like they would be on diaper duty or something! It also doesn't mean I am handcuffed to the house either. All 3 sets of Lauren's grandparents adore her and would jump at the chance to watch her so her parents could go out and get some adult time in. We could really use it. I guess what goes around comes around, maybe they will suffer the feelings of complete abandonment once they have one of their own, that is if they stop partying before their bodies are past being able to. Having a child can really open your eyes to who is truly a friend. Ron and I do still have a few that we know would be there through thick and thin. Thank you to those, you know who you are! Besides that we like going on the boat in the summer and taking little weekend trips, this year will be full of new and exciting memories now that Lauren is older and everything is fun for her!
