The meeting of Staffan, drums, and Jesper, guitar, in September 2002 on a club-night in Uppsala, Sweden, resulted in the forming of Second Glance - a 60s British psychedlia project with influences from more than well-known bands like The Beatles, The Move and The Pretty things, but also more obscure phychedelic nuggets as The End, Apple and Jason Crest. Staffan had experience from playing with lots of bands (Swoon, Clavious II, Leapers and others) and was a constantly creative music writer and arranger, playing both guitar and drums. Jesper had just quit his band Daniel Dimension and his Imaginary Orchestra where he was frontman and songwriter but also an excellent guitarist and able sitar player. As the last link in the chain Anders, ex-bass player of Attic thoughts, joined the band. Having just started playing the Hammond organ he played most of the bass lines with his bass pedals whilst assisting Jesper's guitar with chords. Anders took the lead vocals, arranging it well together with Staffan's and Jesper's backing vocals.
Since the organ was hard to carry around for gigs, espacially having in mind that no-one owned a car, the band tried to rehearse as much as possible in the beginning. Many late nights during the first two years were spent in a small storage-like facility where the band had managed to get in both a drum kit and an organ. In August 2005 the first real demo CD was released, White bird cherry, containing 7 originals. One copy of the demo CD was sent to England, which led to a gig at Euro Ye Ye in Spain, probably the biggest 60s event in Europe. About the same time the band members realised that it was getting too hard taking gigs outside Uppsala, and Anders had to resume his career as a bass guitar player. In time for the Ye Ye event, Second Glance took the opportunity to finish their second CD, Second Glance, in August 2006. The songs, still marked by the unmatched sound of the Hammond organ, spans from pop-psych in Bumblebees & butterflies to groovy psych-rock in Imagine the picture, creating a sound with the credibility of a true 60s act. Imagine the picture also featured the vinyl e.p. "Join The Tea Set!" released at Rowed Out Records in 2007.
In November 2007 Second Glance performed what came to be their last gig, at All Saints Mod Holiday in Italy. Jesper departed to pursue his academic career and Anders and Staffan gave more and more attention to their side-project Trummor & Orgel.
