About Me

I was born in 1985 in Stockholm where I grew up listening to a lot of soul, funk and slick pop music. I've always been a vocalist but somewhere in my teens writing songs got as important as singing and it started to take up more and more of the time when I was supposed to practise...In fall 2005 I formed a band to showcase my music and we recorded the songs displayed on this page. In 2006 I moved to PiteÃ¥ in the north of Sweden to study composition at the College of Music in PiteÃ¥. Here I get to try new genres and write for different types of ensembles. Influences: I listen a lot to different kinds of music and I'm always looking for new genres and artists to fall in love with. I believe that everything I listen to influences me in some way but I don't try to sound like someone else when I write a song. I can't make up a list of all of my influences but here are some artists/groups who I've listened to so much it's got to left some traces in my music:Prince, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Steely Dan, Maria Rita, Sly & the Family Stone, Patrice Rushen, D'Angelo.
