Evangelin is a band that has paid their dues. Overnight-success is a phrase that does not fit into their vocabulary; hard work is the only way they know how to get what they want. Zachary Schweizer (vocals, guitars), Jeremy Ware (bass), and Tyler Welsh (drums) have been playing music together for the past six years. “When I was younger, I started to write some songs,†says Schweizer, “I wanted to have a whole band, so I brought them to Jeremy and Tyler, and we started learning our instruments, we just loved writing with each other so much… it just clicked.†After 5 years, several members coming and going, and countless songs, the trio came across Zach Glotfelty (guitar, vocals), “I’d seen them a few times before, built a friendship with them,†comments Glotfelty, who joined the band after filling in one night on bass, “I ended up practicing with them the next week and everything just absolutely fell into place, it worked better than any of us had imagined.†After the band finalized their line-up, they recorded their debut EP “The Failing Of A City†with The Wade Studio in Ocala, Florida (There For Tomorrow, A Day To Remember). The band has grown quite a reputation in Florida and plans to continue spreading that name across the United States. They have played with such acts as Ivoryline (Tooth and Nail), There For Tomorrow (Hopeless/Subcity), Broadway (Uprising), and countless others. Look out for Evangelin to be getting their catchy melodies and memorable guitar hooks into your heads and onto your iPods.
"Not only do they write catchy music, they're also professional and willing to listen. What more do you need?"
