About Me

I'm a person who, really, has never acted my age. That is mostly a good thing! :) I love to read, watch and still even sometimes play sports, hang out with my boys, play WoW, do outdoorsy things, and see my friends. I'm an occupational therapist and work with kids who have disabilities in the school setting. I love my job - the kids, their families, and my colleagues. I also am the parent of three great boys, all of whom have amazing gifts; all of them serving to keep me on my toes 24/7 in order to keep up with them! I am also starting to be an advocate for autism and Asperger's Syndrome, as I have a son who has AS. Rather than seeing it as a disability, we view it as just being part of who he is as a human being - a really great human being with an incredible mind, spirit and heart.I still have an unwritten great american novel in my brain; that hasn't yet made it to paper, although there have been a few attempts at that. I hope to start taking some writer's workshop classes in the near future; and further explore my inner muse.
