About Me

I have learned recently the importance of the saying that you have to expect the unexpected. Life certainly isn't going to wait for you- you have to be on your toes and ready to adapt to changes that you are faced with. You have to look at everything that you are faced with as a life lesson- and learn from it.So here I am... I am completely addicted to live music. I take pride in the number of artist I have seen perform live. I just saw Atmosphere (AMAZING!) I often crave a handfull of popcorn, but I can justify popping a whole bag. I love the summer, but there is something about the way that fall smells that makes me feel so happy. I love wearing hoodies- so the cool weather is perfect! I HATE fighting with people, but I love a good argument. I lived in Mexico for a year and became addicted to Tortilla soup- I have given up sugar and caffeine and life is good. I love pink anythings, daisies, my three dogs, and playing in the water! I have surfed in Costa Rica, Mexico, Texas and Panama and I am planning a trip to Australia this summer- (good to be a teacher- SUMMER'S OFF)... I like being a teacher, but I know there is something else out there for me to discover. I would spend every moment outside if I could. I love hammocks, chicken nuggets and walking in sand. I love my sisters and think my brother is incredible. I think I am the luckiest girl in the world because I have the most amazing friends. My mom is a rock and she is always right! I just pierced my nose and I like it. I love to run. I have been averaging 6km a day. I am training for Adventure Racing this summer. I can't sit still and I have a hard time focusing on something for a long time. I need to move around- hence my abrupt ending! I guess I don't feel like typing anymore!! ... OH and I am exceptionally good at blowing bubbles! Really! I am better than your average gum chewer! Children Of Music

My Interests

I love anything that involves being outside and active! I love running, soccer, volleyball and SURFING!! (Yes, you can surf in Ontario... you just need to know where to do it!) I got the travel bug in my last year of University- and I have been taking advantage of having my SUMMERS OFF! I love live music and singing in the shower... I am hoping to soon take that hobby to the stage- (my brother is writing a song for me and my sisters to perform with him...) I love to dance (hiphop and break) and I just signed up for bellydancing class- abs of steel!

I'd like to meet:

I have made a pack with myself not to waste anymore time on people and things that aren't good for me. I am incredibly openminded, but if you aren't NICE and you don't know how to be HONEST... then move right along!! You know who YOU want to meet??? I love all types of music, but especially HIP HOP... I am my brother's biggest fan... I have started talking about them like I know them personally... I guess when you spend every morning with them you can't help but grow close... (see what I mean). And... Movies:

I love movies... although I have a hard time sitting through a whole one... even ones I am loving I tend to fall asleep! I love any and all girly movies... but my all time favourites would be Willow, Labrynth, Girls Just Want to have Fun, and Adventures in Babysitting.

Television:

I don't watch much TV... but I am a sucker for Reality Shows... I admit... I get sucked right into their lives... In Univesity I was all over TLC... Wedding Story, Baby Story, Makeover Story... it got to the point where they were all reruns- that is when I knew I had a problem... now I am more an America's Next Top Model/ Amazing Race kind of girl! I was given the first and only season of FREAKS AND GEEKS for my birthday and all I can say is that I wish it was never taken off the air... amazing show!

Books:

I love to READ... but since becoming a teacher it seems like I read a lot of FRANKLIN, MAGIC SCHOOL BUS, ROBERT MUNSCH kind of stuff... since I have SUMMER'S OFF (not to rub it in) I plan to catch up on a ton of reading!!! I have a ton of books beside my bed waiting to be cracked open! Just finished reading A Million Little Pieces and The Journey- both excellent...

Heroes:

I really don't think I have a HERO... (I always loved Storm from Xmen, and Astro Boy)... If I had to pick a hero I would have to choose my mom and my brother and sisters... amazing people...
