About Me
---"Went from 3 to 4 then 3 then down to 2, bruh, Thought we was tight before but now it's like never knew ya"---
Originally composed of 3 members, a 4th was added, and then the 2 weak links were let go. At the end, you have the two originators, and the two strongest, both with the pen and the mic.
Drawing influences from all over Hip-Hop, and all music genres in general, Herbin' Life's sound is best described as Down South Hip-Hop with a Midwestern twist to it.
The group has made major moves in the last couple years, opening for both the Arsonists and Killer Mike. The group was also picked to open for Wyclef Jean at the University of Cincinnati at the Spring Concert, but the show was cancelled due to Cincinnati's boycott.
Along the way, the group has organized the successful "Mic Check" series, which regularly features Herbin' Life, as well as some of the best of Cincinnati Hip-Hop. Thru this series, and other performances, HL has shared the stage with the cream of the crop in the 513, including J. Gram, GTM, Club Ghetto, Blayze, Agile, Definition, Watusi Tribe, and more.
Recently, Lucky has relocated to New York and is actively making big steps for himself and the group in the music business, and GNO and Bidnis are oranizing the next Mic Check show and recording the final tracks for the album, as well as future projects.
The new album, simply titled "GNO and Bidnis", will be dropping in the next few months, featuring amazing narratives and stories of hustling to get by, and a few club bangers sure to be hits.
