About Me
I guess the first thing about me is that I'm very social; I didn't used to be, so I guess now I am making up for lost time. For me, socializing runs the gamut from trying to never eat dinner alone, to playing board games, to meandering around SF or Berkeley, to going to an '80s dance night and then spending the whole ride back talking about the possibility and implications of peak oil. I can talk my way across three counties and argue 'til the cows come home, but I'll also listen to you until next Tuesday, if you like.
I am a domestic goddess, but I stay very busy, so it's hard to keep up with my roommates'
domestic demons.
In general, I love Berkeley, hanging out with friends, reading, board games, cheesy dancing, sleeping, walking, going to San Francisco, and grocery shopping at Berkeley Bowl and the Farmers Market. I can often be found with friends, hosting brownie-eating festivals, attending various gatherings--oh yeah, and working for a living. I’m helping save the environment, one map at a time (or two, or eight).
I am fond of taking long walks, accompanied by a friend or by my iPod. San Francisco is my favorite city, and I will visit it at the drop of a hat. Finals this week? Who cares, let's go to San Francisco and eat somewhere after walking around in Hayes Valley.
Here's a really great story to wrap things up: Once I was walking down Market Street in San Francisco with my sister and we were singing "Nothing Better" by The Postal Service. Out of nowhere, this classy looking woman in a chic outfit walking next to us starts to sing with us, and she knew all the words! It was amazing and easily one of the coolest moments of my life.
