About Me

Hi, writer/producer Michael Lent here. I live in Los Angeles. Got my start at MTV in On Air Promotions. I have a Masters Degree in Film and have been a working WGA writer/producer for about 10 years now. You can find my credits on both IMDB, Amazon and with a Google search. I've taught at UCLA Extension, Santa Barbara City College and University of Miami, plus guest lectured at several other colleges and universities. My book Breakfast With Sharks was a film industry best seller for 2004. I have a graphic novel Prey: Origin of the Species via Marvel Comics that made the Top 40 list. Another book Christmas Letters from Hell with Simon & Schuster arrives, November 2007. Hard Scrambled, an indie film I co-produced has won awards and has been showcased at many festivals in the US in 2006. We premiered at Cinequest, earned solid reviews in Variety and the LA Times, plus won the top award at the Garden State Film Festival.Two films I produced in 2007, Witches' Night and Naked in America are now in festival. I was the dialogue writer on the upcoming Xbox game Vigilante 8: Arcade.I love helping movies come together.
