About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)Damon was bored and wanted some excitment to his life, he went on Craig's List and posted an add for a drummer and a bass player, Harley (bass player)responded with great enthusiasm and told Damon about his mate (Todd) who was a brilliant drummer and was looking for a new band..they booked Sound Arena studio's in Hollywood one sunny afternoon and the rest is history. Three talented muscians with three very different styles of musical influences come together and produce this blissful sound, it's like listening to a familiar tune, the sound you heard when you were a kid on some old LP, part pop, part punk and part goove/rock. Sit back and enjoy the tunes.About Damon: He grew up in Ewell, Surrey, England, (boring Suburb of Greater London) and from day one was surrounded by talent...dad was best mates with Ian Stewart and the crew and was offered the job as drummer for the Rolling Stones but turned it down cause he was a Jazz snob and thought rock and roll was for wankers...(he was right of course). Additionally, Damon's dad was best mates with Glyn Johns...producer of the Stones, Beatles and Led Zepp to name a few....best mates with Ray and Eve Harvey and Damon played hide and seek with their daughter Polly AKA PJ Harvey.....his mum and dad hung out the the Epsom crew (1966 period), ala Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Clapton etc...so it is to no suprise that Damon took to music like pigs to mud. By 1979, the UK was dancing to the new beat of SKA and Damon was instantly won over by the Rude Boys of Epsom and Ewell... he started collecting 2-Tone records and wearing the Rude Boy uniform, sta-press, Harrington jackets and ben sherman shirts. He moved to California in 1989 and took one look at the tatsy waves and the blue skys and never looked back. There, he met many hippsters and deadheads that shaped and moulded him into the musician he is today...think of a Paul Weller meets Hendrix, hybrid of gritty and greasy lyrics blended in with psychedelic blusey overtones. As for comercial success, Damon believes in the underground and would hate to see is his music be thought of as commercial and mainstream...in his mind, that's for pop idols who's soul's are no deeper than yesterday's puddles....this man is the real deal people...enjoy it while you can, who knows how long this myspace page will last....PH
