The term "True North" comes from an architectural term which shows the unchanging north- no matter how a building is placed or how crooked a road may be, true north stays the same direction- ALWAYS. For all the adult leaders (Assistant Coaches), the students of the ministry, and all others involved, Jesus Christ is our True North. He is our constant as we travel on this journey of life and we seek Him in all that we do. He is always there, no matter how muddy or bumpy. If you move even one tenth of a degree to the right or left you will miss God by a mile somewhere down the road. If you continue to follow Jesus Christ, you will soon find that He is the only path to God.
No matter how bad you get turned upside down in this life, no matter how crazy it may get, no mater how wonderful life may seem, no matter how much homework you have, no matter what may go on in your home, no matter how bad the game is lost, no matter if you just lost someone you love, no matter if you just got your dream job, no matter how late you had stay up to finish the project, no matter what, Jesus Christ is still the answer, He is still The Way, The Truth, and The Life! He is the one and only way to reach God in heaven and is waiting for us to follow Him.
That is exactly why all of the TNM graphics and apparel has a footprint, Jesus' footprint. It shows the scar on His foot where he was nailed to the cross to bare our sins on Calvary. We, as a youth ministry staff, follow those footsteps in our daily decisions; we seek Jesus as our True North here on earth.
