About Me

This is Morfydd's daughter Tarnia.

My mum died from a second heart attack on the 20th Oct 2007 - but for now I'm keeping this page up until I have completely worked out what to do with it. It's too soon for me to delete something like this of hers...

The rest below are her own words...

**************

Hi there, okay first thing I should say is that if I owe you an email I'm sorry. I have the attention span of a gnat and I am juggling so many projects odinarily that I may not circle back to the computer for large periods of time

what to say about myself.... hmmm....I enjoy most things everyday. Little things, simple things. I find Life hilariously funny and can't understand why people moan about it so often. I can be horribly blunt and positively undiplomatic when I feel I need to cut through the crap and just be honest. I am also absolutely useless at small talk but I do enjoy talking with random strangers. Just don't ask me about the weather,I live in Wales near the coast, answering wet and windy tends to get repetitive, :-)

I spend a lot of time on the Internet reading articles that I get sent and I love nothing more than just learning stuff – stupid small stuff like why birds sing or can water run uphill given the right impetus (it can). Now I have hit the huge age of 36 I can safely allow my geeky, nerdy side out to play and wallow in this wonderful global library of knowledge that the Internet provides us with. What else do I love to do? Oh god I have developed the worst obsession with ancient history. I am taping everything and anything... Titanic, Spartans, Egyptians, Vlad the Impaler, Pompeii the 1st (Bronze age) and the more famous second, the tudors, the stuarts, the vikings, boudicca, it is endless. Worse than watching I love to talk about them and that is when you know who your friends are...lol... those that sit there and listen as I whitter on and on about this stuff. I also love to read and play play playstation games... or any games really... I recently finished Primal... if you like games, that's a brilliant one... the sound track is fantastic.

Favourite comedians would include Bill Hicks, Dylan Moran, Chris Rock and Eddie Izzard. There are probably more but I can never remember names, especially famous names. They usually get called "ooh it's thingie from whatsit" and other people supply the names for me,if they know what the heck I am talking about. If not they just look at me blankly and politely steer the conversation elsewhere.

So, still not sure if I am going to write on here that often… my eldest daughter seems to think it would be a cool idea if I did – but I dunno…. Guess we’ll just have to see when/ if I have anything to talk about.

til then, have fun talk to you whenever :-)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is outside the pages of a book or the confines of a television set.

I am not looking for romance though, so please don't write looking for some sort of intense, sexual, cyber thang... I'm not into that - a good conversation, a reliable, easy going "nice to see there's someone else on this planet alive" type friendship and that's enough for me :-)

You Are Animal
A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!" The Muppet Personality Test

You Are Somewhat Machiavellian
You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead...
But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself.
You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place.
You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to! How Machiavellian Are You?

You Are a Prophet Soul
You are a gentle soul, with good intentions toward everyone.
Selfless and kind, you have great faith in people.
Sometimes this faith can lead to disappoinment in the long run.
No matter what, you deal with everything in a calm and balanced way.

You are a good interpreter, very sensitive, intuitive, caring, and gentle.
Concerned about the world, you are good at predicting people's feelings.
A seeker of wisdom, you are a life long learner looking for purpose and meaning.
You are a great thinker and communicator, but not necessarily a doer.
