Howdy friends, Im Tom Flanery. Glad you stopped by to visit.Im originally from Texas, Bonham Texas to be exact, home of the Bonham Fighting Purple Warriors. (Go Team).
I moved to Nashville in 2006 to work on my songwriting, and Im loving every minute of it.Ive had the chance to make some really great friends in my search of that first cut.
First and foremost my friend Jimmie Grokett, he is one heck of a songwriter, and a very wonderful person. Jimmie always has a way of making me get back on track as far as my writing. Thanks Jimmie. You should check out his myspace, just look on my top friends list.
Then there is the amazingly talented Ben West, if you ever meet Ben you will never forget him. Together Ben and I wrote a song titled (This Hat aint No Act) I believe he has it on his myspace page. Ben is a downhome genuine countryboy, like myself, except I believe he sings a little better than I do.There is also a great songwriter by the name of Jay Sellers, together Jay and I have written several songs over the last 6 months. One really great guy and a friend I am glad I have here in Nashville.I also want to mention a very wonderful dear friend of mine Debi Champion.
She host's the writers nights at the Commodore lounge on West End. What can I say, Debi we love you girl.There are of course several others but Im a little limited on time and Im sure you are to.There are just a few more folks I would like to tell you about. My wife Denise, (how many women would just pack up everything on a minutes notice and move off leaving behind their family just so their husband could chase his dream?) Yep thats my wife.
Then there are my kids Dustin and Sabrina, both are very talented, we just havnt figured out what all talents Dustin has (Just kidding) My hero my Son My Marine. Sabrina is really a great guitar player as well as any instrument she can get her hands on. Look out music biz. Thanks Dustin and Sabrina you both have given me so much to write about.To top off my list I want to thank the Lord for giving me this talent and the opportunity to persue my dream.
