Karli “from the Block†Henriquez is the girl on the streets for the JoJo on the Radio Show and a long time member of the KIIS-FM family.
She first began as an intern at the age of 19. After her internship, Karli realized she wanted a career in radio and was later hired as a member of the street team.
One year into working on the street team, the opportunity to audition for Jojo’s girl on the streets presented Karli with the chance to showcase her talents. Fifteen girls competed over a two-week period doing interviews, call-ins and stunts live on the air. A week after the auditions JoJo gave her a call asking her to be his new girl on the show.
Karli from the Block can be heard every night on 102.7 KIIS-FM as she goes out and interacts with listeners all over the city of Los Angeles. She can also be found at exclusive red carpet events for movie premiers, parties, and special events.
Meeting listeners and interviewing celebrities are things Karli loves about her job. She sees herself as an inspiration to young Latinas who are chasing their dreams just as she is doing. Karli gets her inspiration from role models such as Jennifer Lopez and Oprah Winfery for their entertainment, hard-work, leadership and influences on other people.
Karli would like to use her talent to grow in radio as well as in entertainment television. She would like the opportunity to use her fluent Spanish speaking as a host on a Latin
entertainment show.
Away from work Karli likes shopping, dancing, reading, having some occasional
outdoor adventures and spending time with her family. Finding new restaurants, clubs and places to visit are also a favorite for her. Karli’s favorite music ranges from pop and r&b to hip-hop and reggaeton.
She was raised in Hollywood, Ca until moving to the San Fernando Valley where she attended Reseda High School. She now resides in the Lake Balboa area of the San
Fernando Valley.
