About Me

Steele aka Steelyone was raised in the city of New Rochelle, a suburb of Westchester not quite popular for its resonant hip hop scene. However, from adolescence, he along with underground producers in the game recognized his talent and cultivated his skills behind the mic that made him the undisputed force in the rap game he stands today. He has a presence. At 6'5'', he stands tall, flow is sick, lyrics stocked with clever allegory and delivery passionately aggressive yet smooth. Though that's not the only reason he's about to put 914 on the map. Ya' boy is a hustler with a serious go getter kind of determination.Long hours in the studio of writing and recording have him set to release his second solo mix tape, "Stainless". This album represents his rebirth as an artist. He's at a different place in his life compared to a year ago when his first album release, "God Forgive Me" debuted. With a new perspective and a renewed confidence in the unyielding bond amongst his crew, he's untouchable and ready to put it all out there. Expect big things from Steele including his featured presence on the 914 mix tape. In addition, the energy of his live performances at New York City hotspots like the Knitting Factory S.O.B's, China Club, Training Camp at Club Pyramid, End of The Weak at Club Pyramid and Tri- State college campuses are most definitely something to witness. As an artist, he takes every opportunity to manifest his vision of musical distinction in the saturated world of rap music.Although thankful for how far he has come, Steele recognizes that there is more ground to cover and credits his perseverance to key inspirations. First and foremost in his life is God. His faith steadies him, his family supports him and his favorite artist and all around rap motivation, the legendary Biggie Smalls sets him out into the world ready to be uncompromisingly himself. Of the Notorious BIG he says, "He's that cat who stepped on to the scene like I don't have to be your typical image of a rapper and while I respect him for his artistry and for paving the way for big dudes like myself, I'm in this game to make my own mark." There is no doubt that Steelyone is doing just that.Notable DJ Quiz of Hot 97 says, "As long as Steele continues to serve lines like, [If you a go getter, I'm the one you need to get. Bigger frame, bigger stack, I got what that brotha lack, excuse me Ms.] he will have no trouble living up to his moniker and the high expectations that unforgettable albums like his latest release, "Stainless" have already set for him." ..
