About Me

I started playing the guitar age 11, and played my first gig about a year later! Alongside playing bass and guitar in rock bands with my friends I studied classical guitar. Always seeking to widen my musical horizons, I did a music degree in the UK. My next major step was joining up with one of the UK’s top reggae bands, I’n’I Oneness and the UK Players. I played guitar with them for four years, one album and hundreds of gigs all over UK and Europe before emigrating to Australia. I realised a long cherished ambition on 2002 when I spent a year in Tanzania (East Africa) as a volunteer music teacher at Bagamoyo College of Art. On returning to Perth I joined a local reggae band, Raggabeats which ended up being one of Western Australias top live acts in the two years or so that we existed. I also became interested in music production, and I produced a single for Raggabeats (Jungle Juice/Scarborough Beach). At the moment my main project is producing and playing bass/guitar with Grace Barbé from the Seychelles, a very talented singer songwriter in the genres of reggae, Afro and Soul. I am also playing bass with the Funk Club House Band and the Great Nile Band. ..
