**1992-1998**
Dennis and Wietse met each other in 1992 and discovered a common interest in music. Dennis appeared to be an excellent songwriter and after they made lots of demos in Dennis' attic, they formed WYATT in 1996. One of these demos found its way to Xplo Music. Xplo Music was very enthousiastic about the demo and financed Wyatts first unofficial album which was released in 1998 and praised by the local press.
**1998-2002**
Encouraged by this local success, new songs were written and in september 1999 the band recorded their first official album The Big Picture, which was preceded by two singles, released at Edel records in October 2001. The press praised the album. The singles of the album, Best Days and 'If', were released in respectively februari and July 2001 and became modest hits. The video was frequently played on MTV, TMF and 3FM. The band also performed live at Top of the pops and TMF-café. Due to this succes WYATT supported major Dutch acts, like Kane, Anouk and Golden Earring.
**2002-2004**
The first months of 2002 new demos were made and Arie joined the band on guitar. Between April and August the recording sessions for a new album started. The last of great fireworks, the name of the album, was largely produced by Dennis and Wietse and partly by Sander van Herk. In October 2002 the band was reinforced by Ferry ..s and in January 2003 Michel replaced drummer Martijn. In November / December 2003, WYATT supported Ilse DeLange during her Here I amthe wintertour. In January 2004 the band proudly accepted an Essent award and played at the prestigious Noorderslag festival in Groningen. Preceded by the single Fireworks,The last of great fireworks was released in February 2004 by Warner Music. From the 11 rocking popsongs on the album, 'Miss me Too' was chosen to be the second single. The band went to Los Angeles to make the beautiful video for this single.
The last quarter of 2004 Wyatt released their non-commercially available single 'Love Light' and started the first rehearsels for a new album...
**2005-2006**
2005 was completely focussed on recording WYATT's third album 'Miracle'. Because the band did not go on tour, the band members took time to expand their musical horizon: Dennis and Wietse produced Dennis' first solo album 'The Jinx' which was released in september 2005 (www.denniskolen.com), Ferry wrote a jazz album, Arie played in the backing bands of many famous dutch artists and Michel rocked on with Harry's band.
'Miracle' has become a genuine rock album on which the complete band played the songs simultaniously. This resulted in a different kind of album than we are used to from WYATT. The goal was to bring the live-on-stage energy into the livingroom. The album was released in february 2006.
