I'm an actor who now leads a simple life. I generally play characters who are complex villians, indifferent sociopaths, and sleazy creeps with a soft spot for those like minded. I'm told my appeal lies in my dashing good looks, my brilliant mind, and odd sexual behaviors (my anxiety manifests itself in what most term 'odd ways'), with not to mention impeccable taste. I've worked in countless films over the last two decades, longer if you really know my work. After filming the movie the Secretary, I've embarked on a television career. The first television series, being a spin off of the Secretary on the Practice and from this Boston Legal. I play Alan Shore, a corrupt, underhanded, unethical, deceitful, yet lovable protagonist. I've got a very sarcastic sadistic streak. I play an underdog you can't help but see in a borderline perspective..you hate to love me, but you do. You cannot resist me, don't even try. I'm told, with the way I articulate, my mannerisms using such calculated gestures, and penetrating stare, I can make anything sexy and powerfully convincing. Yes, I can and do manipulate most people with this. I'm private to the point of paranoia, as noted by many. I collect weapons, I've been obsessed with weaponry, mainly knives since I was a child. I have MANY phobias, hence the privacy. But if you know me, you'll understand each and every one. I'm an obsessive compulsive who knows his own boundaries. I restrain myself whenever I can, unless it's related to acting. I'm an enigma to most, I'm crass, vulgar and too frank in awkwardly inappropriate moments, yet I'm also a chivalrous gentleman who knows how to treat a lady. Vickey and my children are most of my life.
