My interests are primarily in dance of all types. Hiphop, jazz, modern, interpretive, character, ballet, and club dancing. Yes, I love going out to clubs to just let go and experience a totally different life than I have in the day. I love Halloween; the decorations, costumes, candy, and my favorite are the haunted houses (compliments to my dad). I love animals such as dogs and kitties. My favorite dog is an Alaskan Husky and other fluffy breeds. I worked at the zoo for two years to satisfy my craving. I love to be outdoors such as camping, boating in Lake Powell, water skiing, wakeboarding, exploring through mountains, skiing in the Rocky Mountains, river rafting, and sitting by rivers and lakes. I love people who want to relax in those places and find it as surreal as I do. I'm not really one who likes to read, just too many books through out college. If I have free time you will find me bargan shopping for random things. I'm creative with my wardrobe... somedays. I love Las Vegas, it's a great get away from city smog and everyday job that I do. Oh, one more thing, I like to people watch, especially with Joe because he has such intellectual insite. I guess that is our way of gossiping about what we think people do in their lives.
I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet men and women in the Salt Lake City area that are looking for casual fun things to do, places to go, and people to talk to. I'm not really looking for love because I have someone that I love dearly. I am always looking for girls/woman to hang out with and talk to. I like to meet those that are intellectual thinkers that bring up issues that make you realize there is a broader purpose for life than our everyday grind.
Music:
Well, this is a funny one because most of my cd's are from the late 80's and 90's. I stopped buying music when I got older, but a lot of my music included the boy band era such as N'SYNC, Backstreet, Boys, 98 Degrees, etc. I have Depeche Mode, Melissa Ethridge, Bad Company, Clearwater, Brittany Spears, Spice Girls (what a time warp this is), Beyonce, Missy Elliot, Daniel Bedingfield, Missy Elliot, Maya, Brandy, R.Kelly, Eminem, B.E.T. Awards, Micheal Jackson, many "Now", Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, and others
Movies:
Liar Liar and most movies with Jim Carry, Dumb and Dumber, Gone With the Wind, North and South, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, BraveHeart, The Last Samari, First Knight, Never Ending Story, Prinecess Bride, Mission Impossible 2, I. Robot, Save the Last Dance, Center Stage, Mary Poppins, Finding Nemo, and Mulan. Those are a few that pop into my head. I also like scary movies even though I cover my eyes in The Ring.
Television:
Fresh Prince is a guilty pleasure because I have always loved Will Smith. Full House is something I watched growing up along with Family Matters and Home Improvement. Those take me back to times of no responsibility and when I thought the world was perfect like those sit-coms. I like to watch Friends, Everwood (because I have played a speaking role on the Halloween episode with Reed and Amy), American Idol, and HBO. I love the health channel (special human conditions), the discovery channel (animal behavior), and the history channel (7 wonders of the world). Those are a few things I watch when I have an hour in between jobs.
Books:
A Tale of Two Cities and when I was very young I loved all fictions books by Roald Dahl such as Matilda. Recently, I have found an interest in a book called "Always listen to the ravings of a man woman: a story of sex, porn, and postum in the land of Zion". I'm intersted in religious biographies of people were/are in fudamentalist sects of Christianity because it's something I don't know much about.
Heroes:
I know this is cliche, but my mom is definately an inspiration in my life for showing me the importance of organization, making your home comfy, being happy by yourself. Also my step-mother for teaching me to periodically let go of everyday tasks and spend the day with a family member doing something little but memorable.
