I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm 49 years old...and although I can't stop the body from aging, I'm fighting getting older tooth and nail. I may have to get older, but they can't force me to grow up! I believe that a person is as young as they feel, as old as they act, and as mature as forced to be!
I love to read, and anything that Issac Asimov, Robert Silverberg, Piers Anthony, Jane Auel, Tom Clancy, Janet Evanovich or Robin Cook write, I'm going to read! I also love writing, and have since I was a kid. I joke about writing to keep my head from exploding, from all of the ideas that the Muse continually whispers in my ear. I write because I love the creative process of writing. I write...because that's part of who I am.
I had never written fanfiction until I discovered a dearth of good Daniel Jackson stories, that weren't 'slash' or 'Danny whumping'. As the old saying goes, when you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. So, I started writing for myself. I did have encouragement, from another fanfiction writer, and now I have my own site, www.robinkh.com , where I post stories about Dr. Daniel Jackson and SG-1 of "Stargate SG-1" regularly. The Muse, and the Characters, have been very good to me! If you are a Stargate SG-1 fan...check out my site...you'll find darned good fan fiction there...written by me and by my best friends Renee and Lisa. As I like to say..."Take the Journey!"
It seems that, like many writers, I'm basically a private person. Even though this blog is more or less a public diary, you won't find mind numbing details of my everyday life, nor will you read anything about my love life. There will be very little personal information in my blog, but I will share my point of view, my observations, my ideas, or my experiences concerning varied issues and matters. I'll occasionally toot my horn concerning TCO and the stories therein, I'll certainly brag on family and my dearest friends and their accomplishments...
Even though I've met many wonderful people online, and my life has been blessed by all with whom I've crossed paths, experience has taught me to be very careful who I chose to include in my circle of friends. My blog is public, I'm not saying anything that I feel a need to hide. That doesn't mean that I will 'accept' just anyone who requests to be a friend.
I am who I am, and I make no apologies for that. I don't suffer fools, whiners or users gladly. I don't associate with those who are so negative about everything that life has to offer that they're depressing to be around. Life's too short, too precious to be dragged down by the doom-and-gloomers.
For those hearty souls who prefer to face life with a smile on their face, and a joke in their heart, then I hope you find a bit of amusement and entertainment from my ramblings.
