I'm the bass player in 10th Runner Up, an alterno/pop punk band laced with a positive message based in Mansfield, Ohio. My previous bands include The Rain, Sweet Surrender, and Section 7. My musical background is mostly grounded in hard rock/metal from the Golden Age of Music during the 70's and 80's. 10th Runner Up is a new flavor for me, but it's a blast rocking with Jake, Ryan and Cody. I use Spector basses on stage and recording, however I also still have a vintage B.C. Rich bass from 1986. My amp of choice is a Hartke 350 watter with a Hartke 410 BXL cabinet blessed with aluminum cone speakers. My family is awesome and always keeps things interesting. My wife's name is Lorri and we've been married 18 years. Our four children are: Justin (15), Rebekah (12), Hannah (10) and Zachary (9).I love both football and soccer...which seems to be pretty rare in the United States. I've encountered many football fans who will not give soccer a chance, not realizing that they can coexist without the world coming to an end. In football I follow the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State. In soccer I gravitate more towards individual players but I always support the U.S. National Teams and the Columbus Crew. My favorite players are Landon Donovan (USA/LA Galaxy), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast/Chelsea), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Real Madrid), Kaka (Brazil/Real Madrid), Frankie Hejduk (USA/Columbus Crew), Tim Howard (USA/Everton), Clint Dempsey (USA/Fulham), and Stuart Holden (USA/Houston Dynamo). Our family is heavily involved with sports. I have positions with the Clear Fork Youth Soccer League and Appleseed Youth Soccer Association. Justin is in 9th Grade and is involved with soccer, track, and football. During the 2009 soccer season he lettered as a freshman and led the team in assists. He was fourth in goals scored and tied for second in points. He also made honorable mention all-conference. Rebekah will be in 7th grade and is going to give volleyball a shot this fall and also does basketball and track. Hannah (5th grade) and Zachary (3rd grade) do soccer and basketball for now.I finished college after leaving it hang for about 13 years. I have an Associate's Degree in Accounting which is an invaluable tool in the job market. Companies that have "entry level" positions all want someone with a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience...LOL...Hello?!?! They all want experience but nobody wants to be a company that provides that initial experience...go figure. So forget them. HA HA! Lorri and I have built up our daycare business and things are going pretty well with it. I also dabble in some vending. Very small time however.
I currently drive a 1998 Mustang and we also have a 2002 Eddie Bauer Explorer. Mustangs are the coolest car ever and I will check them out on the road, in parking lots, at car shows, wherever. I think a 2009 Mustang would look really good in my driveway...but the 2010 comes out next spring so whoever wants to help me out with that, let me know.
