I am here for Friends

About Me

Fall semester: let the games begin. I'm back down to a blessed 13 credit hours (as opposed to 20) and I'm going to be majoring in ambiguity. I.E. General studies. The current plan is as follows: finish out this year at GCC and hopefully earn my time-wasting degree, take the following year to beef up my savings account and continue to get in shape, then enlist in the airforce after I turn 21, and aim to be a medic in the AF. I'm single, average looking(ish), and I'm starting to slim down...still have a ways to go. Still looking for someone/something to belong to. This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

someone smart, compassionate, and real. someone just as willing to share with me an adventure as they are to share with me a quiet, intimate evening, a movie, a sunset. someone who understands that its ok to be not ok, and that its acceptable to not have all the answers. and to know when to quit pretending that they do.someone.

My Blog

Against a hardened heart...

And all the lights go out.

What do you do when at the end of the day, you're not ready for it to be over yet? The hours are running out, the lamp oil is running low, and everyone in the world has called it a night but you. Ever...

keeping promises

What is a promise, and who defines its worth? How do we decide which promises are worth making, and which are worth keeping? And coming from the receiving end, which ones are worth beli...

christmas time is here...

You think of Christmas, and you get this warm and fuzzy feeling inside of you, like sipping hot chocolate right off the stove. The holidays aren't suppose to feel so heavy and dark. I think I miss my...

prayer

At what point to you quit believing that you can do something? Or, to put it more accurately, at what point do you give in and believe those who tell you that you can't? Father, I'm standing once agai...

when all else fails

I'm finding that complaining about college and my classes is not only really redundant, but I'm starting to aggrivate myself, and undoubtedly everyone around me. For those whom I've annoyed past the p...

on growing up and moving forward

Once upon a summer morning, I woke up and realized I start college in less than a month. And on that morning I felt my bubble of contentment that was the summertime burst, as if someone had taken a br...

reach out and touch someone

Tonight I was reminded of the impact we as human beings have on one another, whether we realize it or not, whether we intend it or not. I was also reminded of how much can be resolved and broken down ...
