About Me

Alright, here's the deal. I'm Scott Sheehan, I live in Bay City, and I like hot rods and old motorcycles. Well there's a little more to it than that but you get the idea. I work at SC Johnson, and I've been there for over ten years. I love driving around in my 1931 Model A sedan that I built myself with a lot of help from my friends. I'm also a member of the Nightmares Car Club. If I'm not behind the wheel of a vintage ford I'm probably tearing ass on one of my old Triumphs, the world's greatest motorcycle.I'm building another classic car right now, but I won't bore you with the details. Before the hot rods and motorcycles I raced stock cars at a few local tracks. So if you haven't figured it out yet, I love working with my hands, I'm a gearhead and I'm a big fan of all things mechanical. That said, I like being well rounded and it's not just jalopies, sparks, and grease with me. I've got four more classes to go in my Welding Engineering Technology degree, and I plan on tackling that this fall. I'm a student of history, espeically WWII. I read a lot, I dig ancient civilizations, ghosts and the supernatural, politics, shipwrecks, tattoos, photography, arcitechture, and anything related to Detroit. In fact Detroit is a big passion of mine and one of my favorite cities. I made eighteen trips there last year. I love to travel, I've been to Las Vegas eight times, and Mexico twice. This past Summer I was in Ohio, Illinois, and Virginia doing the hot rod and motorcycle thing. Leaving the continent is my next step, either England or Ireland.I take care of myself, I don't smoke, I do drink but it's a pretty rare occasion that I get stupid drunk. I like to run, work out, and rollerblade. You won't find me sitting on the couch playing video games. I hate golf, can't stand NASCAR, I don't hunt, I'm not a fan of camping, and couldn't care less about football or basketball. I do however LOVE to go to Tigers games and watch them all season long. That's about it, if you want to know more, hit me up.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Gene Winfield,(Finally got to meet him at Detroit this year.) Bill Hines, Kenneth Howard, Ed Roth, Norm Grabowski, Alan Kulwicki, Dick Trickle, Robert Williams, Chris Cooper, John Wayne, Louis Armstrong, hmmm...a lot of those guys are dead. Well, maybe someday down the road I'll get to meet them.

Scotts post election thoughts

Well I've had a few days to simmer down now so I thought I'd give my opinion even though my thoughts are way past inconsequential.  First off we will have a black Presi...

Old cars and cool guys

So I got to do something pretty cool this past weekend, I cruised Woodward in a 1932 Ford.  If you're automotively inclined you know this avenue as seventeen miles of history rivaled only by ...

I love old cars

I just got back in from working on one of my cars.  It's a 1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan to be exact.  I have this odd romantic notion that cars have feelings.  Real cars, not shitty im...

Well, I did it.  I bought a motorcycle last week.  Not a nice, friendly Honda or Suzuki but a very evil old British bike.  It's a Triumph "bobber" (That's the term used to describe old ...
