Jean-Anthony aka Dizzie Devil or Diz (as most know him) is a California native, Born May 28th, 1985 in East Oakland. Briefly raised in Sacramento (between ages 2-7) him and his mother moved back to Oakland where he began writing songs at age 8. While attending John Swett K-8 school he was dubbed as "That Little Nigga You Dont Wanna See In A Rap Battle". At age 11, he was named "Dizzy" by his peers because of his abililty to make heads spin after rapping soo fast. In 1996 he formed the group NC3 along wit two of his best friends, Jonathan Smothers and Mr. Nasti. Which name was later changed to Da Spaid Bruthaz shortly after adding two more members Mateo Bacardi and Lil 90s. The group made well known local music together until Diz moved to Phoenix,Az in 1998. In Arizona Diz continued to write songs and freestyle while focusing on his football career, at the sametime working two jobs, selling a little bit of this and that, and maintaing good grades in high school. He was called "The Youngest Boss On The Coast" by his peers back home in California, because of his ability to move and handle himself better than someone twice his age and be the best in both worlds(the suburbs and the ghetto). In 2001, Diz moved back to Oakland or "BACK TO DA HOOD" as he puts it, where he dropped football and ventured into various street activities. While attending (or better yet enrolled) at Skyline high school, he met Jerome Payne aka Romyay. Together they formed Any Meanz Ent./Homstyl Productionz along with Charles Henderson aka Cha'lee Da Prince(Diz's cousin). In 2002 Diz relocated to Anchorage, Ak where he and his older brother opened a clothing store called "Platinum Petes". He returned to Oakland a year later where he recorded a compilation album along with the rest of the Any Meanz team entitled " WE GOT NEXT", which included the street smash "Handcuff Ya B***h" and "Stutter Dat Azz". He then went back to Alaska in 2004 to be with his son. Later on having two more kids. Out of the scene for 2 years while his label mates continued to put out albums, Diz broke his silence in 2006 and released two mixtapes "Cut Throat Season" Vol's. 1&2 which included underground hits such as "Loaded", "Get Fresh Anthem", "Hate Me" and "Cut Throat Season". In the summer of 2007 he linked up with DJ Byrd and Southernaire Ent. and began recording tracks for his debut solo project. He dropped the alias "Youngest Boss On The Coast" because he says "IT'S TOO MANY NIGGAS OUT HERE CALLIN THEMSELVES BOSSES AND AINT NOWHERE NEAR IT", also stating "DEM NIGGAS AINT LIKE ME SO IF THATS WHAT A BOSS IS NOW, I GUESS I SURPASSED IT". Dizzie is now back in Oakland,Ca currently finishing up his solo project and working on group ventures such as WTF & GET FRESH. His album is slated to be out by his birthday 2009 and is titled "Best Kept Secret". When asked, "Why Is He The Best Kept Secret?" He repiles, "I WAS GIVEN THAT NAME BY A FELLOW MUSICIAN BECAUSE WHAT MOST PEOPLE DONT KNOW IS, I MIGHT HAVE WROTE YOUR FAVORITE SONG BY YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST. RAP OR NOT." Altough he hasn't confirmed, it has been rumored "Best Kept Secret" will be his first and only solo album so he can focus on writing movies.
