This name is no stranger . He is the DJ of choice for many memorable events in New York as well as abroad. Some of his notable events include being the east coast premier DJ of the 1996 Sinbad Soul Funk Fest in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He has provided musical services for NBA All star games (1995 and 1998) and other professional sports events hosted by John Salley, John Starks, Michael Jordan, Kenny Anderson, New York Knicks and New York Mets. He has also been a DJ of Choice for Corporate and Entertainment Industry sponsored events including: Snapple, One World Magazine, New York City Transit Authority, Chocolate Singles, Vibe Magazine, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Verizon, Tiffany's, Def Jam, United Negro College Fund and VJ Ralph Mc Daniel (Video Music Box). Additionally Tommie has been the featured DJ at a fundraiser sponsored by Reverend Jesse Jackson and a Grammy Awards celebration for James Brown.Tommie has skillfully performed before large audiences and various ethnic groups. Patrons are pleasingly overwhelmed by the mastery of his club, house, old school and r & b music. He has successfully demonstrated his skills at clubs throughout the NYC area such as the Theatre at Madison Square Garden (NYC), Roxy (NYC), Copacabana (NYC), Tabou Night Club (LI), Sugar Hill Supper Club (BK), The International Buffet (LI), Carib New York (New Rochelle) and 200 Fifth Club (NYC)Along with the demand as a top club DJ, Tommie serves as a special education teacher at his alma mater Canarsie High School, where he teaches and coaches high school varsity basketball. Tommie is proud of the fact that his athletes maintain a grade point average of 70% or higher and was featured in the New York Daily News, during the 95-96' basketball season, for their athletic and academic success. In 2000, Tommie was voted Coach of the Year. He has also held the distinction of the only varsity high school basketball team in New York City to be sponsored by Nike. Tommie is very active in the community. He is a student advisor of Phi Alpha Psi, and has coordinated fundraisers for both Hale House and the St. Jude’s Center for Research with Cancer. He has earned a Masters in Special Education, Bachelors in Management and Marketing. Tommie is both an inspiration and role model to the community he serves.
