About Me

.. ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- I love to create, whether it be drawing, plucking a guitar, beatin a drum, writing, or making babies. I have lots of wonderful friends and an even more wonderfuller family. I'm still in college, trying to get a degree in Professional Writing, and hopefully I'll stick around for a master's degree. Right now I'm writing music articles for The Oklahoma Gazette. I love that job. I get paid to talk about music, and about half of the time it's music I really enjoy. I've gotten to speak to some really amazing musicians (see my blog) and I'm coming to really get good at and enjoy doing interviews with them. If you're in a band that doesn't fuckin suck than maybe w can do one sometime. Don't worry, I wont ask you where you got your fucking band name, I could care less. Here's my life's srory:Started off in Sulphur, OK, moved to and grew up in Norman, made lots of friends and fell in love with music, graduated highschool, did some college, studied art, bought a new car, wrecked it 3 months later, walked for awhile, wrote some tunes, started working with children, tried to get to California, stayed 11 days and came home, did some more college, this time it was film and video production, left college and spent hundreds of dollars exposing myself to various kinds of live music, saw tons of great bands, did some more college, tried to get to Cali again, failed again, met a girl, moved in with some buddies and jammed with some wonderful musicians in our home, broke my hand, feared I would never play guitar again, healed, played guitar again, had a baby with girl, finally transfered to OU and consequently did some more college, started writing again, got published, felt good, got a steady music writing gig, continued to see great live music, got out of shape, pledged to get back into shape, wrote this.
