Road trips!!! Definitely love going on trips to places I have never been before, which is starting to get costlier, heh, only seem to do the trips every few years now. Love reading!!! Have an "extremely" large collection including scifi/fantasy, westerns, and history books. Photography, discovered the amazing things you can do with photos on the computer nowadays, have many old family photos I mess around with, I clean the old ones up by removing stains, cracks/creases, etc, lots of work, but rewarding when done.
Anyone willing and able to hold a good conversation, after all, that is how my best friends became my best friends, shooting the breeze! I get a kick out of chatting with folks.
Wide range of music I enjoy, probably have a really wierd taste in music, heh, leave it at that.
In keeping with the type books I read, I love the Lord of the Rings triology movies, the Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones movies. Pretty much if its action I like it. I also enjoyed the God Father movies. Ok, just saw 300, think it has to join this group!
Don't really sit down to just watch TV much anymore, tend to be messing around with the computer more than anything, .. gaming, trying to find old friends, etc.
Several favorite authors: David Weber, Anne McCaffrey, Steven Brust, Julie Czerneda, Lois McMaster Bujold, Elizabeth Moon, and David Eddings to name just a few. Yep, sci-fi and fantasy writers.
When I was a young man in the service, coming from a very poor background, we were sitting around talking in a little group of deck hands, when our Division Officer Ensign Nowak walked up and got into the conversation, not sure how, but the topic of college came up, and one of my buddies laughed and said college wasn't for guys like us. Ensign Nowak kinda got his dander up, and told us, there was no reason anyone of us couldn't attend and graduate college. This planted a seed that not too many years later had me leaving active duty and attending and graduating college. Hats off to you Mr. Nowak!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
