From Mauricio de Sousa's animation Studios comes MONICA'S GANG COMICSCINE, the film based on Mauricio's popular comic book characters.The Gang is heading back to the silver screen and the COMICSCINE animation will be shown in movie theaters at 200 locations in Brazil beginning in July, 2004.With Monica's Gang enjoying a Qrating of 65 highest among the comics characters in Brazil the film is sure to be a smash!The stories center around the Fab Four Monica, Jimmy Five, Smudge and Maggy. At the heart of the plots is the eternal rivalry between boys and girls to be the leader. Monica's Gang made its debut on Cartoon Network, with entertaining and well-known adventures for the Brazilian audience.Since June 27 , the cartoon series, featuring Monica, Jimmy Five, Smudge, Maggy and Chuck Billy is aired in a 30-minute block on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. In addition to the block, Cartoon Network has produced a series of interstitial featuring interviews with creator Mauricio de Sousa talking about the history of the gang and its characters.
