Being called by God to be ministers of the gospel, each member of Inspired believes that they were each divinely placed in the band for a specific purpose.
Inspired originally consisted of three (3) female vocalists, each who had a burning passion for singing. They began singing officially as an accapella group in 1999, mainly ministering at their home church, Eckstein New Testament Church of God. However, as they matured in their faith, they were granted opportunities to minister at other engagements outside of their church. As a trio, their first and most memorable ministerial performance was at a fund raising cruise on board the MV Harbour Master hosted by the New Testament Church of God Ladies Ministries department. As time progressed they became exposed to and performed with many other musical artists both in and out of the gospel arena. One such artist was the band Electrik. While in collaboration with them, they performed at an annual Christmas show entitled Youth At Christams in December of 2000 and 2001. One of their greatest accomplishments yet, as a trio, was receiving two bronze medals for their performance at the 2003 National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA). With the contacts made through their involvement in the festival, they were invited to sing at a mothers day event hosted by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF).
In November 2004, the decision was made to expand the group in hopes of attaining the dream of one day ministering in the international arena. As a result the vocalists merged their God-given talents with those of the two keyboardists and drummer who also worship at their home church. These three young men were more than willing to be apart of the group, stating that they too strongly felt the call of God on their lives to spread the love of God through music. They eventually further expanded with the addition of a bass guitarist and flutist. Now as an entity with two (2) lead vocalists and a full band, they have been the proud receipients of the 2005 Gospel Flame Award for Vocal Group of the Year. 2006 was the year of their debut in the Barbados Gospel Festival as part of the line up at the Sun Set Concert at the Jackie Opal Amphitheater.
Together, with angelic harmonies of the vocalists, pulsating drum rhythms, dynamic chords of the keyboards, electrifying guitar strums and melodic lullabies of the flute , Inspired can be seen a as a collage of true worshipers with God as the heartbeat of it all. The undying and intense love for God and music which theses young men and women exude provides the passion for ministry which they have. God ordains everything associated with Inspired and for this to Him they are forever grateful.
