Started in the Fall of 2005, The John Riley Rock Show has been giving audiences all over Oklahoma, North Texas and Tennessee something to talk about and sing while their in the shower. Drawing on influences from Bob Dylan, Creedance Clearwater Revival, and Townes Van Zant, to Mike McClure and Zakk Wylde, the band mixes in a healthy dose of original music in their prescription for each night’s success.
Songwriter and front man John Riley, has been putting pen to paper since 1997, and has built up a healthy library of tunes while honing his own performance pepperoni pizza through acoustic shows since 2003, including a two-show spotlight stop on Music Row for Curb Records.
The band's first record was produced by Troy Werner (Quite Escape Studios) and has received notable commercial play. The initial single, Mona Lisa has already reached a 1 chart position on www.radiofreetexas.org. The band will be back in the studio this fall with Mike McClure at the helm for their sophomore project.
