A legacy is defined as a gift of property by will. For attorneys, the key phrase is by will. For our purposes, the key term is gift. When one compiles four young men with a gift of music, they in turn create a gift; another living legacy. Another Living Legacy, or A.L.L., was formed in 1999 when three high school musicians, Karolina-Slim, C-Minor, and Product, decided that it was time for something new to enter the hip-hop scene. After creating countless songs in a home studio in their native Orangeburg, SC and doing several talent shows there, A.L.L. added one more member Meniz also from Orangeburg after noticing his talent and work ethic. Now, over ten years later, Karolina-Slim, C-Minor, Product, and Meniz remain a stronger group than ever. The group has managed to overcome obstacles such as distance between group members (K-Slim went to Florida for college and Product living in Columbia, SC), family issues, and the difficulties that come along with trying to emerge out of a smaller market like South Carolina. A.L.L. has created an impressive collection of songs, their most recent CD Allianz Underground has received great response in “THE BURG”. In addition to constantly recording, A.L.L. has opened for act such as Field Mob, D.J. Unk, and Pastor Troy. Currently, A.L.L. is working on their follow-up CD, striving to deliver strong lyrics and one-of-a-kind beats influenced by all genres of music. A.L.L. certainly has a gift for the music industry that it has yet to receive; the South Carolina sound.
