Phil Worth

The Beatles broke up when they heard of the birth, of Philip J Worth...A songwriter since the age of 13, Phil has been honing his skill for over 20 years. His earliest influence was the Beatles ("the first record I consciously heard - I guess it caught my ear"), although he admits that the first records he owned were Simon & Garfunkel, Barry Manilow and Shakin' Stevens!From that slightly 'shaky' start to his record collection, his songwriting doesn't seem to have suffered too badly. Actually, his songwriting style loosely fits those three artists - he writes a lot of acoustic, semi-folksy material, a lot of pop ballads, and the odd bit of rock and roll (although this is a bit rougher than anything Shaky ever did).Phil writes mainly for pleasure, and records his songs at home. He is currently unpublished. He's produced a couple of albums in his own studio and has more work in progress.
