It was once said that if you put Jazz, Classical, Gospel, Folk Music, Afro-Cuban, Hip Hop, African Music, Thomey Dorsey, Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, Mahalia Jackson, Ebenezer Obey, Will Kennedy, Coltrane, Joe Zawinul, Horacio El Negro Hernandez, Paco De Lucia and the Grace of God in a blender the result you would get is Miller Luwoye.What began as hitting the drums after church service from the age of 4 flourished into what Miller Luwoye was called to do... playing drums with divine enablement (Grace)...After high school, Miller proceeded to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he did his grades in Jazz Drumming and a few years later he got a scholarship to study in the University where he earned a B.A (Hons) degree in Jazz Studies majoring performance.Even though he is a musician who spends good hours practicing and studying his instrument, Miller never forgets that it is the Grace of God that brings excellent performance not chops or skills or years of study in the music school, he is a living testimony.
By divine opportunity he has worked with great musicians such as Jonathan Butler, Kim Burrell, Femi Temowo, Niki illes and many more.While running a busy schedule Teaching, Playing on various projects, Traveling, Miller worships weekly at his home church RCCG Lighthouse Fellowship Peckham where he is the Music Director.
